Specialty Heat Treating Orders Vacuum Furnace System

ECM USA, a subsidiary of ECM Technologies, received an order from Specialty Heat Treating for an ICBP vacuum furnace system. A recent expansion at Specialty Heat Treating’s Elkhart, Ind., facility required an expandable furnace system that could handle growth in capacity and quenching media. The ICBP system utilizes heating cells attached to a central transfer system to convey loads within the heat-treatment system from the heating cells to several possible quenching media.

Specialty Heat Treating, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., is adding capacity to meet customer demands in the aerospace, automotive, defense and medical markets. The Nadcap-approved company is known for processing specialized, high-end components. ECM has supplied over 140 similar systems to customers all over the world.
