Vallourec Acquires Tubular Businesses

Vallourec has acquired three tubular business units – Atlas Bradford, TCA and Tube-Alloy – from Grant Pideco. Atlas Bradford is a North American supplier of premium oil country tubular goods connection technology. TCA specializes in heat-treatment operations and markets high-grade tubular products. Tube-Alloy produces and repairs down-hole tubular accessories for the oil and gas industry and specializes in complex threading and machining for custom-made orders.

All three business units, which had combined sales of $229 million for the 12-month period ending Sept. 30, 2007, will be added to Vallourec’s existing North American operations. Based in France, Vallourec produces seamless steel tubes primarily for the oil and gas and power-generation sectors.
