Update: AmeriChip International Inc. Becomes ISO/TS16949:2002 Compliant
AmeriChip International Inc. (OTCBB: ACII) announced today that it is now ISO/TS16949:2002 compliant.
Marc Walther, President & CEO, announced today that the Company is now ISO/TS16949:2002 compliant one month ahead of schedule. In the fall of 2007 the Company undertook to secure ISO/TS16949:2002 certification for the automotive industry and AS9100 for the military and aircraft certification by April 2008.
The Company will be certified as a ISO/TS16949:2002 manufacturer after it has operated under ISO/TS16949:2002 policies over a six month period.
"We are on track to complete our AS9100 certification by April 2008," said Marc Walther. "As we expand our customer base we are ensuring that we are in position to be compliant within each industry segment."
The aim of ISO/TS16949 is the development of a quality management system that provides for continual improvement emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. ISO/TS19669:2002 applies to the design/development production and, when relevant, installation and servicing of automotive related parts. It is based on ISO9000.
