Atlas Tube Re-Opening Manufacturing Facility in Blytheville, Arkansas; Allowing the Company to Improve Customer Service and Enhance Delivery Performance
CHICAGO, May 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlas Tube, a division of JMC Steel Group, announced today that it is re-opening its Hollow Structural Section (HSS) manufacturing facility in Blytheville, AR. Starting in September, the facility will begin regularly scheduled mill rollings. The decision to re-open this plant will allow Atlas Tube to provide high quality customer service, reduce product lead times, and enhance delivery performance to customers in the Southeast and Southwest regions of the country. Atlas will produce round, square, and rectangle HSS at this facility. These products are typically used in various construction and OEM applications.
David Seeger, president of JMC Steel Group, believes that this will enhance Atlas' position in the marketplace: "The new technology we have deployed in Blytheville will elevate our quality, drive higher order turnaround, and give us added capacity to better serve our customers in the southern and western regions of the country," he said.
Customers serviced from the Blytheville facility will continue to be supported via the Customer Service teams at Atlas's Chicago, IL, Plymouth, MI, and Harrow, ON facilities.
