Crucible Industries LLC in Geddes partners with Pennsylvania steel firm

Geddes,NY -- Crucible Industries LLC has partnered with Latrobe Specialty Steel Distribution to sell and market Crucible Particle Metallurgy, a very hard steel used in the automotive, aerospace and tool industries.

Crucible makes the CPM at its mill on State Fair Boulevard and the Latrobe company will sell the products through eight locations in North America.

J.P. Industries of Cleveland, created Crucible Industries LLC, to buy the Geddes mill for $8 million from the bankrupt Crucible Materials Corp., in October. The mill is the only maker of CPM. It also makes stainless and other specialty metals.

Latrobe Specialty Steel Distribution is a division of Latrobe Specialty Steel of Latrobe, Pa.
