BeaverMatic Installs Internal Quench Furnaces
BeaverMatic has installed two internal quench furnaces (IQFs), two tempers, a spray and dunk washer, and a power transfer cart at Brunner Manufacturing’s captive heat-treating department. Brunner, located in Mauston, Wis., manufactures cold-headed CNC machines and wire form components and is a global supplier of special steel components and assemblies. The IQFs have workload dimensions of 36 inches long x 48 inches wide x 32 inches high with 4,000-pound load capacities.
According to Brunner, BeaverMatic equipment was chosen because of its easy accessibility to motors, fans and components for routine maintenance. In addition, the load-transfer mechanism on the IQFs consist of rams that push workload for precise point-to-point positioning, which is also easy to access for maintenance.
